1- Marselan

Unknown in Spanish viticulture and oenology, marselan is a very interesting variety. Daughter of Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha Tinta , it acquires properties of both varieties. Highly recommended for aging wines and recommended for lovers of full-bodied and tannic wine.

2- Origin:

It is a  cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache  created by the French INRA in 1961. It began to be cultivated near Marseille, the French city from which this variety receives its name.

3- Synonyms:

1810-68 INRA No other synonyms are known so far.

Bunches:

Small to medium, cylindrical-conical, elongated.

Aromas of cocoa (sometimes), black currant, raspberry, ripe fruits and jams, currants, kirsch, prunes, smoke notes, notes of pepper, spices, olives, liquorice, vegetable notes …
